Art. 6 MAXIMUM TIME, CUT-OFFS, AND WITHDRAWALS

The maximum time to reach the finish is 5 hours (by 14:00).

Any competitor withdrawing from the race outside the aid station must arrange their own return and immediately report their withdrawal by SMS or telephone to the number communicated during the briefing, releasing the Organization from all responsibility in this regard.

In case of withdrawal, it is of course possible to return independently to the finish (except in cases of objective danger), promptly notifying the organization at the number communicated during the briefing.

To protect participants’ health, medical personnel at checkpoints or along the route are authorized to stop any competitor deemed unfit to continue the race.

In this case, the competitor must follow the medical personnel’s instructions, under penalty of immediate disqualification.

Race staff are in any case authorized to penalize improper conduct with disqualification.

Art. 7 AID STATIONS AND LIFE BASES / WATER POINTS

The race is run in semi-self-sufficiency, with a mandatory water reserve of at least one liter and a minimum food reserve.

Semi-self-sufficiency is the ability to be completely autonomous between two aid stations, for food, water reserves, equipment, and safety.

No. 1 aid station is provided along the route:

  • Baita Alpini Galbiate km 7.5

Only competitors with their bib clearly visible may access the aid station.

Food and drinks from the aid station must be consumed on site; drinking directly from aid-station bottles is forbidden, and competitors must use their own cups or soft flasks.

Take waste with you down the mountain (Think green!), under penalty of disqualification.

Bottles or CamelBaks may be filled with water only.

When leaving each aid station, runners must have the amount of water necessary to reach the next aid station.

An additional food and drink aid station will be available at the finish.

There are occasional fountains along the route where water may be refilled.

Mountain huts along the route may be used.

Any purchase of extra food or drinks at mountain huts is the competitor’s responsibility.

Art. 8 RUNNERS’ BAG STORAGE

At bib pickup, each competitor may hand in their bag for a change of clothes at the finish.

Competitors are advised not to place valuables in the bags; in any case, the organization is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to bags or their contents, as expressly accepted and declared accepted by the athletes/participants signing these rules.

Bags may be collected at the finish in Lecco upon presentation of the race bib.

For no reason will the organization send uncollected bags to competitors’ homes; for hygiene reasons, they will be immediately destroyed.

Art. 9 START

Competitors must report to Piazza XX Settembre in Lecco at 08:30 on May 9, 2027.

The start will be given at 09:00.

In cases of force majeure, the Organization reserves the right to make changes.

A finish-line aid service is set up at the finish in the lakefront area, inside the Outdoor Village tent.

At the same time and in the same area, each competitor has a meal voucher to be used at the dedicated kitchen area upon arrival.
