Our cookie policy
Cookie Policy of utlactrail.com
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies the www.utlactrail.com website uses and how you can manage them, in compliance with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Provision of June 10, 2021 (“Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools”).
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device; similar technologies, such as browser localStorage, work in the same way. They are divided into:
- technical cookies, necessary for the website to function or to remember choices you have made: they do not require consent;
- analytics and profiling cookies, which collect information about browsing: they are activated only with your consent.
Cookies and tools used by this website
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
standard_cookie_consent_v1(localStorage) | Technical | Remembers choices made in the cookie banner | Until you change it or the notice changes | Not required |
cec-accessibility-settings(localStorage) | Technical | Remembers accessibility panel settings (text size, contrast, etc.), only if you use it | Until you delete it | Not required |
utlac:raceview(localStorage) | Technical | Remembers whether you prefer to view course points as cards or in a table | Until you delete it | Not required |
_ga, _ga_JPFYBREZKV | Analytics (Google Analytics 4, Google Ireland Ltd) | Aggregate visit statistics | 13 months | Required |
The preferences panel also provides “Functional,” “Performance,” and “Marketing” categories: at present, the website does not use cookies from these categories, nor advertising pixels or profiling tools.
External services without cookies
When you view course maps, some base layers (terrain, satellite, topographic view) are loaded from Amazon Web Services, Esri, and OpenTopoMap: these services receive your IP address as with any web request, but do not install cookies. The WhatsApp button is a simple link: it does not load anything until you use it. Fonts, icons, and videos are hosted on our server.
How to manage consent
On your first visit, a banner asks whether to accept or reject non-technical cookies, or to choose by category. Rejecting them does not limit browsing. Google Analytics is activated only after you accept the “Analytics” category.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer or the button below: if you withdraw consent, Google Analytics cookies are deleted. You can also delete cookies and stored data through your browser settings.
Controller and rights
The Controller is Larius S.S.D. a R.L., Viale Turati 123, 23900 Lecco (LC), info@utlactrail.com. Full details about data processing and your rights are in the Privacy Notice.
