Lierna: lake views and a useful stop for following UTLAC
This guide is part of UTLAC’s The Area section and is intended for those arriving at Lake Como to race, support an athlete, or turn the event into an opportunity to discover the area with their families.
Lierna is one of those places that surprises because it maintains a more intimate character than other well-known villages on the Lario. It has the advantage of offering an immediate reading of the landscape: lake, houses, beach views, quiet, and a very direct relationship with the water. For those supporting an athlete, it is a smart stop because it allows them to carve out a beautiful break without complications.
From a UTLAC perspective, Lierna works well as a breathing space on the Lecco branch: less frenetic than other places, very photogenic, and also suitable for those who do not want to spend the entire day traveling. If the weather cooperates, it is one of those villages where very little is needed to feel on vacation.
